KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY JUNIOR DAY:

The Just for Juniors program is sponsored by the K-State Alumni Association and focuses on high school juniors and their parents, and encourages families to begin thinking about the college search process. This upcoming event will take place on February 13, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

During the event, juniors meet with current K-State students and go through various activities, presentations, and group discussions to help prepare them for life as a college student. For example, one activity involves building a college schedule and fosters discussion on time management and involvement in extracurricular activities on campus. The K-State students are also available to answer questions and offer advice according to their own college experience.

The parents meet with representatives from the Office of Admissions and Office of Student Financial Assistance. During that time, discussion focuses on college admission requirements, tuition costs and how students can maximize their scholarship opportunities. A drawing for three $100 scholarships is also held at each event.

If you interested, contact Marcus Kidd at mkidd@k-state.com or call 785.532.5056 by January 17 More information about this program can be found at http://www.k-state.com/justforjuniors. This link is also where students can register for this event. Walk-in registrants are also welcome.
