History |
|||||
|
The Parent Teacher Resource Center opened it’s
doors in January 1997. It was patterned after the Resource Center in Wichita,
KS. Original funding for the PTRC was from a
special grant through the Migrant Education Program. Our main emphasis is to
get parents from the Migrant and Title I education programs into the center
to make learning aids for their children. PTRC was originally located south of the Post
Office in what is now the Life Giving Center of Extreme Hope Christian
Fellowship. PTRC then moved to the east side of Washington School and then into
library of Morrison School. Today PTRC has returned to Washington School and
is located on the west side in the old gymnasium. PTRC strives to
enhance student growth through support and assistance to parents and
students. |
