Academic Support Services
Homework Help
Homework Help is available to all Great Bend Middle School students Monday through Friday from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. and 3:10 to 4:00 p.m.
Staffed with certified teachers and adult para professionals, Homework Help allows students an opportunity to catch up on homework assignments and receive assistance with concepts and problems they don't fully understand.
After-School and Summer Programs
After-school and summer programs are available that provide enrichment opportunities to students. Summer programs also help students who require extra tutoring in core areas such as reading and math. Summer band gives instrumental students a head start with learning and practicing their instruments.
ESOL Resource Room
The ESOL program provides tutoring services to students whose primary language is one other than Engish. Teachers working in this program have received specialized training to help students understand homework assignments and to improve their English skills.
Ramp-Up Math
Ramp-up Math targets strudents who may struggle in the traditional pre-algebra class and gives them concentrated attention.
Reading Edge
Reading Edge takes students out of the regular English class and works with them on a more individual level, starting at their present reading ability.
