Parent Tips for AR Reading

*Skim a chapter before your child reads it. Introduce any new vocabulary words that may be new to the student.

*Participate in partner reading. Have your child read one page. The parent asks three questions pertaining to the main idea. Then the parent and child switch roles. The parent reads a page while the child thinks of three questions to ask.
