Singles Bracket:
Austin Jacobs- defeated McPherson 8-6, lost to Salina South 8-2, lost to Newton 8-7 (7-5), lost to Hays 8-6,
finished 7th place
Grant Harris- lost to Derby 8-7 (7-3), defeated Hays 8-0, defeated Salina South 8-3, lost to Winfield 8-6,
finished 10th place
Doubles Bracket:
Nick Moyers & Chase Buntain- defeated Winfield 8-1, lost to McPherson 8-4, defeated Salina South 8-3, defeated Salina South 8-1,
finished 5th place
Adam Neeland & Ramon Garcia- defeated Hays 8-2, lost to McPherson 8-3, lost to Salina South 8-4, defeated Salina South 8-7 (8-6), finished 7th place
All the #1's and #2's played in the same tournament bracket. Even though we finished in 5th place as a team we were only two points behind third place and six behind second place. McPherson is ranked #2 in the state in 4A and Newton is ranked #3 in 5A. I thought our team competed really well. We lost two tough tiebreaker matches that could have put us in second or third place. Our doubles teams competed especially well. Nick and Chase's only loss came at the hands of the tournament champions.

At the first meet of the season, the JV boys tennis team captured 1st place at the
Pratt Boys' JV Invitational Tennis Meet on Tuesday, March 27th.
Great Bend was first out of 6 teams
#1 Singles - Patrick McCluskey 3-0 1st place
#2 Singles - Peter Marston 2-1 3rd place
#1 Doubles - Ryan Clark & Daniel Marshall 2-1 3rd place
#2 Doubles - Justin Kuhlman & Jun Rui Chen 3-0 1st place.
4/2/12 Garden City
We took 2 teams to this meet.
