Miranda Hejny, a sophomore at GBHS, rolled a 300 (PERFECT GAME) on
Saturday at the team's morning practice. Hejny is the first female on the team to
shoot a 300; following Trey Poncin who rolled the High School's first 300 in Liberal
in 2009. Hejny has also made history for the local bowling alley.
She is the first
female
in Great Bend to roll a perfect game at Walnut Bowl.
Erin Bowers, also a sophomore, broke the girls' high game record on Monday
against Dodge City and Holcomb at Walnut Bowl. The record, previously set
by Jacy Quade at 257 in Liberal in 2010, is now set 8 pins higher to 265.
Dakota Conaway, a junior, broke the boys' high series record
previously
set
by
Tyler Jones in 2011. Conaway's record is now set at 777.
