Head Coach Bo Black

Coach Bo Black is entering his 13th year overall his 8th year at Great Bend High School as the head football coach.  He is married to Steffanie and has two children - Hannah, 7, and Ty, 5.  Coach Black graduated from Emporia State in 1995 where he was a two year starter at defensive back.  Previously to transferring to Emporia State, he attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Tx, where he played football and ran track.  He is a 1991 graduate of Elkhart High School in Elkhart, Tx, . At Elkhart Coach Black was a 1st team - All State Quarterback and State Champion in the 400 meter.  Coach Black taught and coached at Lancaster High School for 5 years where he was the offensive coordinator before coming to Great Bend in 2001.  He has a career record of 56-20.

Assistant Coach Jason Duvall

Coach Duvall is entering his 14th year overall his 8th at Great Bend as the offensive line coach. Coach Duvall graduated from Texas Tech University in 1992 where he was a three year starter at offensive guard. He was a 2-time All-Southwest conference selection for the Red Raiders. Coach Duvall is a 1987 graduate of Plano High School in Plano, Texas. He was a 1st team All-State Offensive Guard for the 1986 State Champion Wildcats. He and his wife Stacy have five children: Daughters: Courtney 19, Morgan 15, and Rylie 3,  and Sons: Jordan 11, and Peyton 6.

Coach Jay Black is entering his 16th year overall his 9th in Great Bend as the Receivers coach. Coach Black graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 1986. Prior to coaching at Great Bend coach Black served as the Head Coach at Protection High School from '93-'98 Coach Black is also the Special teams coordinator. He is single.

Assistant Freshman

Coach Ingram is entering his 9th year as the Panthers secondary coach. He is a 1998 graduate of Bethany College where he played football and baseball, and has been in Great Bend ever since. He graduated from Adams City High School in Commerce City, Co in 1994. He and his wife Cristy have two children Aurora 8 and Shawn 3

Junior Varsity OC

Coach Battin Graduated From Fort Hays State.  He played in the 1998 Shrine Bowl. Coach Battin teaches Marketing at the High school and also coaches basketball. He enjoys hunting and fishing. He and his wife Jamie have no children.....yet.

 

Coach Lutt is entering his 10th year overall his 4th at Great Bend. He is also an assistant coach for the Great Bend Middle School Track program and teaches Elementary P.E. at Riley Elementary. Coach Lutt is a 1996 graduate of Dana College where he was a 3yr starter at fullback and is a 1991 graduate of Great Bend High School. Before returning to Great Bend he coached at Burke High School in Omaha, Nebraska He and his wife Melissa have two children, Barrett 6, and Ellie 2.
